This piece depicts a brief, thrilling journey through the wild in a sort of dream-state fantasy. When thinking about writing music for youth orchestra, I immediately thought of the dreams I had and the stories I often daydreamed as I grew up: adventures of me exploring jungles and forests, running away from or chasing something on some unknown but riveting and captivating journey. This work intends to capture that sort of adrenaline rush I often felt, one that stemmed from an infinite imagination and eagerness for adventure.
